Dr. Amy Jager is the newest Associate Veterinarian to join the team at Sun City. Dr. Jager grew up on a horse farm near Toronto, Canada and spent many years competing in the equestrian sport of dressage. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University, completing her clinical year at Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Dr. Jager’s professional interests include preventative medicine, geriatric care, canine rehabilitation and both soft tissue and dental surgery.
Dr. Jager shares her home with her husband Ryan, their two dogs Summer and Zeke, and their cat Caramel. Summer is an all black german shepherd, and Zeke is a brindle coconut retriever (mutt from the island of St. Kitts). Dr. Jager is also a hobby aquarist, with a few freshwater tanks in her home. On her days off, Dr. Jager enjoys spending quality family time camping, hiking, and exploring all that Arizona has to offer. Dr. Jager also loves to travel with friends and family.
Dr. Jager is excited to be part of your pet's health care team here at Sun City Animal Hospital. She cannot wait to meet you and your furry family members.
