Dr. Michaelle Purdee started her professional career with a Master’s of Science Degree and has researched many subjects ranging from antibiotic therapy to blood borne diseases in penguins. Her career path changed when she graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia as a veterinarian in 2012. After vet school she went on to a rotating medicine and surgical internship in Phoenix, AZ and then surgical internships at Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center and VCA Animal Specialty Center of South Carolina. Since completing her internships she has worked in emergency care, small animal medicine and surgery, and exotic animal care. Her passion is surgery, and she is pleased to bring her skills in soft tissue surgery and orthopedic surgery to Sun City Animal Hospital. Her free time is spent hiking, camping and doing anything outdoors with her family. Dr. Purdee has two geriatric cats named Nala and Tamara who have traveled all over the United States with her.
