4oth Anniversary

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Sun City Animal Hospital. That would be approximately 280 years to your pet!
Sun City Animal Hospital was founded in 1969 by Dr. Ronald Sigler. At that time, his staff included only two employees. The clinic was also home to a separate grooming and outdoor kennel facility that was operated on the property. In 1972, Dr. Douglas Hauser joined the practice, eventually becoming a partner. In 1981, Dr. Sigler left to start Eye Care For Animals, an ophthalmology specialty practice on Northern Ave. in Phoenix where he still practices. Dr. Steven McAllister joined in 1982 and became Dr. Hauser’s partner in 1987. Both doctors continue to practice here today.
In 1995, the hospital took over the boarding facility, eliminating the outdoor kennels and built the Pet Lodge. Over the years, Sun City Animal Hospital has continued to grow and change. The staff currently consists of five veterinarians, eight technicians, three receptionists, six pet lodge employees, and two office managers.
We want to thank you for all your support both by referring your friends and neighbors and by allowing us to provide care for your pets. One of the biggest changes over the years is the value we, as a society, place on our pets and by treating them as members of the family. By keeping our doctors and staff educated about the changes in veterinary medicine, we strive to provide the best and most up-to-date medical, dental and surgical care available.
We look forward to your input and suggestions on what we can do to continue the care and services we provide to you and your pets.
